5 Things To Consider When Choosing The Perfect Stone For Your Project!

Color Temperature

When choosing your stone, think about the color temperature of the room. If it has warm tones (e.g. wood cabinets, gold lighting) choose a stone with warm undertones. If your space has cool tones (e.g. white cabinets, steel appliances), choose a stone with cool undertones.

Patterns & Veins

Stone patterns and veining can greatly affect the look of your project and its application. If you want a consistent look, choose a material with a uniform pattern. If you want a statement piece, choose a stone with dramatic veining.

Durability

Granite is durable, but some material types are more resistant to scratches and stains than others. If you have a large family or entertain frequently, choose a granite or quartzite that are know for its durability, like Absolute Black or Taj Mahal.
Consider your application.

Maintenance

While granite is low-maintenance, it still needs some TLC. Make sure to seal your granite or whatever natural material you have selected regularly to protect them from stains and spills. Also, clean up spills immediately to prevent etching.
